Janike Kampevold Larsen er postdoktor på prosjektet Routes, roads and landscapes, Aesthetic practices en route 1750–2015.
Kampevold Larsen har hovedfag i litteraturvitenskap og en doktorgrad (dr. art) i litteraturvitenskap. Hun har vært gjesteforsker ved Columbia University, Department of Art and Archaeology, ved University of Essex, Department of Philosophy og Masterstudent ved UC Berkeley, Department of Comparative Literature.
Hun arbeider nå på en bok kalt Post National Natures. The Spectacle of the Norwegian Tourist Routes. Hun har tidligere arbeidet som førsteamanuensis ved Litteraturvitenskap og har undervist på alle nivåer i litteraturvitenskap ved UiB og UiO. Hun har vært redaktør, både av bøker og det litterære tidsskriftet Vinduet. Hun har også vært ansvarlig for Fehn-symposiet ved AHO i 2007 0g 2008.
Våren 2011 koordinerer hun arbeidet med opprettelsen av et nytt landskapsstudium i Tromsø.
