19th Century Architectural Imaginations is a research project hosted by The Oslo Centre for Critical Architectural Studies, studying nineteenth century architectural imagination as it comes to expression in texts, documents, drawings and photography – as well as buildings. Based on meticulous archival studies, the project investigates architectural historicism as a complex theoretical, historiographical and textual construction; establishing ways of thinking about architecture which would far outlive the 19th century.
